Frequently asked questions

You could not find the answer to your question? Ask support.

What is the difference between pausing checks and muting alerts?

Pausing stops monitoring checks entirely during the maintenance window. Muting continues running checks and can create incidents, but suppresses all notification channels.

Will maintenance windows affect my uptime and SLA percentages?

Not necessarily, if you pause monitors planned maintenance windows are excluded from downtime calculations, ensuring your SLA reports and availability statistics stay accurate.

How are maintenance windows displayed on status pages?

When linked to a status page, Phare displays an upcoming maintenance notice in advance, and automatically switches to an active maintenance banner when the window starts.

Can I target specific monitors or an entire project?

You can select exactly which monitors are covered by a maintenance window. Unaffected monitors will continue normal monitoring and alerting without interruption.

Can I complete or cancel a maintenance window early?

If your maintenance work finishes ahead of schedule or gets postponed, you can mark the window as completed or cancel it with a single click, immediately resuming standard monitoring.
