What is external cloud monitoring?

An external monitor checks your publicly accessible services from infrastructure completely independent of the cloud provider being monitored. If your AWS, GCP or Azure region experiences an outage, your external monitoring stays online and alerts you.

Why shouldn't I monitor AWS from AWS?

Because your monitoring and alerting can fail at the same time as the infrastructure they're watching. When a region or monitoring service has an issue, internal alerts may never fire or reach you. External monitoring provides an independent safety net.

I simply love it. The UI is very clean and clear. You only pay what you use. That is for every request that is made. You can even adjust the frequency for each monitor individually. However, for me the best feature is the well-documented API that makes it possible to embed phare.io into your existing infrastructure in no-time.
